Moving day is finally here! Tomorrow we will be in our beautiful new space at 150 Elden Street, Suite 150. The new center is only a block away from the old place, but so much more convenient…we heard our clients who struggled with that staircase and found a new location on the ground floor. We’ve got more space too, making your rejuvenating visit even more relaxing. We can’t wait to see you in the new place.

Stay tuned…as soon as we’re settled in, we’ll post some pictures.

This past weekend, we honored the recipient of our 10,000 massage with a year of free massages. We were lucky to have a reporter from the Herndon Connection on site to document the event for us (especially since nobody on our staff remembered to pick up the camera during the whole thing…oops). The article quotes Rick as saying:

Our goals are a little different than a spa or a chiropractic office, we try to create a place where talented therapists can come and work,” he said. “We searched high and low for exceptionally talents therapists, and we’re really, truly a therapeutic massage center. We just want to make people feel good.

Wow! It’s seems like just yesterday that we moved into our Herndon location. But it’s been almost three years. And today we celebrated a huge milestone—we performed our 10,000 massage!

We’ve been through a lot these past three years with the recession. But two things have pulled us through—amazingly talented staff and exceptionally loyal clients. So we thought the best way to show our appreciation was to give a year of free massage to the person who received the 10,000 massage.

We have to admit we were especially thrilled when we realized that person would be one of our faithful monthly regulars. What an honor to be able to give this prize to someone who has been seeing us regularly for so long.

So, congratulations to Susan Martel. We look forward to the next year of giving you free massages.

Rejuvenations Massage Therapy is pleased to announce our new division, the Pregnancy Massage Center. Pregnancy massage is an important part of our practice, and all of our therapists have received advanced training in pregnancy massage. In fact, we are the only massage center in Northern Virginia that allows only therapists with specialized, advanced pregnancy massage training to work with pregnant clients. As a member of the American Pregnancy Massage Association, we have committed to providing continuing education to our staff regarding best practices in pregnancy massage.

Of course, our therapists also continue to practice deep tissues, hot stone, and sports massage as well, ensuring they can work with clients before, during, and after pregnancy.

Please welcome our newest therapist, Emily Key. Emily has just moved back to the area from South Carolina and Florida. This summer, you will be able to find her down at Lake Anne Plaza Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. working the massage tent at The Reston Market. [SinglePic not found]We also regretfully say goodbye to Melanie. Melanie is leaving us to fulfill her life ambition of working in law enforcement. Although she won’t be working with us anymore, she promises to come by often to visit. Her last day is June 16, so if you want to get one last massage with her, book soon!

Rejuvenations Massage Therapy will have a booth at The Reston Market this summer. If you’re feeling a little tight in your shoulders, stop by for a 10-minute chair massage…you’ll feel terrific! We will be there most weekends throughout the season. We look forward to seeing you!

If you’ve never been to The Reston Market or the Reston Farmer’s Market, it’s worth the trip. They’re both open on Lake Anne Plaza in Reston every Saturday from May through October, 8 a.m. to noon. There’s music, food, great gifts, and more. It’s fun for the whole family.

Take me out to the ball park with the Reston Little League. For the third year, Rejuvenations Massage Therapy is sponsoring a team. This year we’ve got the AA Rockies. The boys showed their spirit this morning at the kick-off parade, showing off for the crowd as they marched down Market Street at Reston Town Center.

Wow, the snow is really coming down! Hopefully it will stop soon, and we’ll be able to open the shop back up. As of now (Saturday at 1:23), we’ll be closed tomorrow. We hope to be open on Monday and ready to take care of everyone who over did it shoveling this weekend. We’ll keep you posted!
