Rejuvenations has moved to 150 Elden Street
Moving day is finally here! Tomorrow we will be in our beautiful new space at 150 Elden Street, Suite 150. The new center is only a block away from the old place, but so much more convenient…we heard our clients who struggled with that staircase and found a new location on the ground floor. We’ve got more space too, making your rejuvenating visit even more relaxing. We can’t wait to see you in the new place.
Stay tuned…as soon as we’re settled in, we’ll post some pictures.
Rejuvenations Launches Pregnancy Massage Center
Rejuvenations Massage Therapy is pleased to announce our new division, the Pregnancy Massage Center. Pregnancy massage is an important part of our practice, and all of our therapists have received advanced training in pregnancy massage. In fact, we are the only massage center in Northern Virginia that allows only therapists with specialized, advanced pregnancy massage training to work with pregnant clients. As a member of the American Pregnancy Massage Association, we have committed to providing continuing education to our staff regarding best practices in pregnancy massage.
Of course, our therapists also continue to practice deep tissues, hot stone, and sports massage as well, ensuring they can work with clients before, during, and after pregnancy.
Great All Natural Bath Products
One of the things we are loving most about the Reston Market is all the wonderful people we’re meeting. Today was no exception. We welcomed a new vendor to the market, Amy from Interlaken Soak Company. Amy makes amazing bath products—scrubs and bath salts, lip balm, and hand moisturizer. They are fantastic!
We also ran into an old friend, Kate Vickers. Kate is a bowen practitioner (a type of massage focused on helping people with chronic pain). Visit her site, Bowenwork Therapeutics, to learn more about what she does.
And, of course, Emily massaged her heart out. She’s beginning to gather some market regulars. It’s fun to watch the line form as people chat and wait for their chair massage.
Hello and Goodbye
Please welcome our newest therapist, Emily Key. Emily has just moved back to the area from South Carolina and Florida. This summer, you will be able to find her down at Lake Anne Plaza Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. working the massage tent at The Reston Market. To view her regular schedule, check out our on-line scheduler.
[SinglePic not found]We also regretfully say goodbye to Melanie. Melanie is leaving us to fulfill her life ambition of working in law enforcement. Although she won’t be working with us anymore, she promises to come by often to visit. Her last day is June 16, so if you want to get one last massage with her, book soon!
Visit Rejuvenations at The Reston Market
Rejuvenations Massage Therapy will have a booth at The Reston Market this summer. If you’re feeling a little tight in your shoulders, stop by for a 10-minute chair massage…you’ll feel terrific! We will be there most weekends throughout the season. We look forward to seeing you!
If you’ve never been to The Reston Market or the Reston Farmer’s Market, it’s worth the trip. They’re both open on Lake Anne Plaza in Reston every Saturday from May through October, 8 a.m. to noon. There’s music, food, great gifts, and more. It’s fun for the whole family.

What a Great Day to Relax
Just in case you need an excuse to relax, we’ve got a great one for you. Today is National Relaxation Day. I’m not sure where this holiday originated, but I’m a big fan. I believe that if every day everyone took time out of their busy day to just sit back and relax, the world would be a better place. It’s not always that easy though. So maybe we need a National holiday to get us to slow down a bit.
Need some ideas on how to relax? Some of my favorite things to do are:
I’ll be working today, helping my clients relax, which is actually very relaxing for me too. What will you be doing today?
Top 12 Reasons to Get a Massage: #10
10. Massage is rejuvenating.
At various points in life, you may feel run-down, overwhelmed, or bored from the daily routine. When you get a massage, your body and mind wake up! Even though the massage feels totally relaxing, by the time you leave, you will feel more alert and fresh than you have in a long time. By stimulating the brain and the body, massage rids your body of distractions and helps you get in tune with feelings both physical and emotional, regenerating sapped power reserves to give you energy for the rest of the day.
